The Florida Council FFF invites you to join us at the Ramada Inn Resort in Celebration, Florida for a meeting of all Florida flyfishers. Join with other flyfishers to celebrate the wonderful fishing experiences of our beautiful state. Learn the latest techniques, the best places to fish, which flies to use and meet new like-minded friends.
You can see the best fly tyers in the country, cast with some of the best instructors in the world and hear all about fishing opportunities and locations. You will be able to hear seminars from the best flyfishing guides and celebrities statewide and recieve instructions from FFF Master Certified Casting Instructors.
This is a social event so bring the whole family and all your friends. There will be a gathering for bar-b-que on Friday evening and a huge banquet on Saturday. You are all encouraged to attend. A money saving raffle will help you bring home all the latest equipment, take that trip of a lifetime or aquire those wonderful toys all flyfishers need.
Accommodations are beautiful and Ramada has shown their support by offering heavily discounted room rates and free breakfast to all who can stay. In addition they will be donating to the council for everyone who rooms with them. So... your stay will assist the council in bringing the services of the FFF to all Florida anglers.

Learn to fish one of Florida's unique and affordable sight-fishing challenges -- tailing redfish in North Florida's spartina grassflats. Learn the best times of year, how to wade, and where to find fish. Equally important: Learn what to avoid, like the unproductive, even dangerous black mud marshes and oyster bars. You'll learn effective flies you can tie yourself, and the simple fly-fishing equipment needed to find, approach, and catch these sometimes reluctant, occasionally difficult fish. The real secret is that these flats offer also sheepshead and black drum. We'll cover safety, approach, stealth, wind, tides, and short-cast techniques with some line management tossed in. David Lambert is a North Florida native, a master casting instructor, writer and TFO and Patagonia pro staffer.

Programs and Seminars
The Council wishes everyone have a chance to go to the seminars or programs of their choice. We are therefore not charging any set fee for these. We ask that you donate an amount you can afford to defray the costs. If you can not afford to donate you are still invited to attend. The council wants to bring the services of the Federation to you in a manner that shows our core values. Those are education and the promotion of fly fishing. No price or cost can substitute for the dissemination of good fellowship and a love of the sport.

Demonstration Fly Tying

Demonstration fly tying with be one of the educational venues of the Conclave the Florida Council of Fly Fishers is sponsoring in Kissimmee this October. Some of the most skilled fly tyers in Florida and the Southeast US will be tying a variety of patterns they personally fish for many species of warm, cold and saltwater fish. Some of the patterns will be new, some unique and some will be historic fly patterns that have been successfully catching fish in all parts of the world for hundreds of years. This will be a tremendous opportunity for participants in the Conclave to watch patterns being tied on a one on one basis and ask every question you want to ask about hook styles and sizes, threads of preference and application, other materials of particularly suited

for patterns of interest and the personal tying techniques each tyer will be demonstrating.

Just as you will enjoy watching the skills of these tyers, you also may have skills of your own that would great to include in our demonstrations. We do still have room for a few more tyers to demonstrate their favorite patterns and we greatly appreciate your willingness to also tie as a demonstration tyer and share your skills with others during the October Conclave.
